Why to Make Plastic Basket Mould?

Basket is widely used in daily life which can be made of bamboo, grass and plastic. You can put in or storage anything you want such as vegetables, fruits, clothes, dishes,etc..While a plastic basket mould is made to fulfil all your needs on style, loading capacity and quantity.

 

How to Make Basket Mould?

There are several steps to make basket mould: mould design, mould machining & assembly, mould try-out.

Customer can provide us product drawings or samples and tell us if modification is required then we do design change to get what is wanted. Moreover we help to cut down material weight to save cost on basis of robust construction.

 

For mould design we need to consider customer's requirements on production volume, material use to choose suitable mould steel and components, machine parameter to determine mold size as well. In below table there is information for a plastic laundry basket mould we made:

However, if the product design is sophisticated, and customer wants supreme products and long mould life, we may suggest to use hot-runner, better mold steel and components, while higher cost can be accepted. And there are different level hot-runner brands cost different, then we will help customer choose the suitable one.

 

There are several processes for mould machining after mould plates cutting and tempering such as CNC processing, drilling, precision engraving machine, high speed milling , EDM, etc. After that, the engineers will do mould assembly that installing mould plates with necessary components. Die spotting machine is to check and make sure all components in the assembled mould are well connected and working in good function.

 

 

When the laundry basket mould is well assembled, Checking leaking and pressure problem with relevant equipment is necessary, and then set up onto injection machine for mold motion checking and tryout. If the performance of trial is not perfect, we need to do analysis on the sample defects, modify the basket mould by machining, re-assembly and test mould again. We will keep trying until products are accepted. Finally the mould is free to deliver to customer's factory for mass production.
